Award-winning South African gospel star Lundi Tyamara has died. Hw was 38
He succumbed to stomach cancer and liver complications.
Lundi had been moved to ICU on Monday after his condition had taken a turn for the worse.
He was first admitted to hospital in December after returning from a trip to China. He was subject to a death rumour a few weeks ago something then dismissed by his manager.
President Jacob Zuma:
We are deeply saddened by the loss of a talented artist at such a young age… He was one of the best gospel artists this country has ever produced. We are with his family in thoughts and prayers in this difficult period. May his soul rest in peace.
