Obert Mandaza has dragged his two sons to court for playing Potifa Mopo`s song “Makandiberekerei” which he said insinuates that he is not a responsible father.
Magistrate Yeukai Nzuda presided over the matter
Mandaza is arguing that his two sons Blessing Mandaza (24) and Brian Mandaza (21) do not treat him with respect, and told the magistrate that his son does not even greet him when he returns from home afterwork
“They emotionally abuse me by playing Mopo`s song titled Makandiberekerei.
“Your worship they chased away my sister whom I had instructed to build a room at our homestead.
“When I asked them they told me that they were now in charge. I took in a second wife and I believe Blessing and Brian`s grudge emanated from there.
The magistrate asked the complainant to prove that the defendants (Blessing and Brian) were playing the song to insult him Mandza said the songs were only played when he got home.
In his submission Brian denied the allegations and told the court that they respect their father buy it was him who no longer wanted to live with them in the same house.
“He is having marital problems with our 50 year old mother, he has married a second wife who is 16 years old.
But Mandaza said his second wife was 20 years old.
Nzuda dismissed the application for protection order and ordered the family live peacefully.
