PSL withdraws case against ZIFA from CAS

The Premier Soccer league has withdrawn its against ZIFA from the Court of Arbitration (CAS) regarding the PSL relegation and promotion issue.

The PSL had approached CAS to resolve the matter as well as stop ZIFA from interfering with the running of the PSL.

In addition to formally withdrawing the case the PSL has opted to adopt ZIFA’s resolution to promote four teams from Division and promote two teams.

The top flight will thus have 18 teams this upcoming season. The PSL also stated that it would engage ZIFA through the Ministry of Sport and Recreation to find an amicable solution the interference of the association in the affairs of the league.
