Vice president Emerson Mnangagwa said the government will soon establish a special court for the management and prosecution of corruption related cases.
He said this Wednesday in Mvuma during the official opening of Mvuma Magistrates Court.
“It is only when people accept the reality of the scourge of corruption and the willingness to openly tackle it that the country stands a better chance of winning the battle against the social vice.
“Government is ready to support any initiative to fight corruption and concerted efforts are required in all sectors of the economy to deal with the scourge which has become the biggest threat to socio-economic development in the country.
Through the partnership between the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) and the Royal Danish Embassy 22 courts were built throughout the country.
Before the construction of the new court house, Mvuma was being run as a circuit court from Gweru with a magistrate going there once a week.
