MDCT MP arrested over NERA Demo

The Zimbabwe Republic Police arrested and charged Glenview North constituency legislator Hon. Fani Munengami over National Electoral Reform Agenda (NERA) which was staged on Saturday. He is expected to appear in court today (Monday). Munengami was arrested together with other and six other residents and charged with contravening Section 37 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act. Police said the 7 allegedly participated in a gathering with intention to cause public violence. ZRP officers claimed that the seven Harare residents waved a placard written ‘Mugabe it’s time to retire’, ‘ZEC yave Zanu pf’ during NERA demonstration held on Saturday.
