Zim banks cry foul as ATMs landing costs reach $31 000

Zimbabwean banks said the landing cost of imported Automated Teller Machines (ATMs ) is so prohibitive and have now resorted to much cheaper Point Of Sale Information available says that it cost $31.00 to import a single ATM plus 15% Value Added Tax CBZ Bank Divisional director Mr Tawanda Matembo said that it its better to import much cheaper Point of Sale (POS) machines which land at $510 as these are also easily accessible to consumers and swipe at various terminals across the nation.
